Olivier's Pilot Log: South to South Adventure

Costa Rica's officials are quick and pleasant

We cleared customs and immigration at Liberia, the last airport on the Northern coast of Costa Rica. Everything was done in no time. Costa Rica was a delightful country to visit with a flying machine. Nobody gave us the slightest problem in any of the airports we landed. Very quick services, and lots of smiles. What a pleasure to fly there! Official services in Costa Rica got the whole thing right about flying. Landing fees are also very low: one dollar per microlight, a symbolic tax. We had no problem whatsoever with the authorities.
