Mike's Pilot Log: South to South Adventure

We spent the day filming, swimming and relaxing.

We spent the day filming, swimming and relaxing. Derek Watts the anchorman for Carte Blanche, asked Olivier and I during an interview about our magic flying carpets. Instead of keeping our mouths shut about them, we said yes, that we had them and that we would demonstrate how they fly. Well, it turned out that I was to be the carpet pilot. Olivier gave me some tips and then we proceeded to coach my carpet into doing a quick circuit. In the end we got the carpet to fly a little way for the cameras. It was really scary, not knowing how to control something while being up in the air. I got down with a few bruises and a lot of sand in my teeth.

That night, after a braai, we went to sleep under the stars relatively early in preparation for an early start the next morning.
