Mike's Pilot Log: South to South Adventure

...we caught a taxi to the Colombian Consulate.

After a breakfast of bread and coffee at the hotel-cum-youth hostel, we caught a taxi to the Colombian Consulate. We explained our predicament to the Consul and were given very prompt and cordial service. Come back at 3 p.m., we were told and you can collect your visa.

We spent some time in an internet office after driving from place to place to find one.

Back at the consul, we waited until 4:30, paid $100 and headed off to the airport to prepare for the flight to Colombia.

Augusto, the local Rotax agent and keen microlight pilot treated us to beers and a meal. We met quite a few of the local microlighters … all enthusiastic about our machines and our flight!
